My qualifications and experience

Elena Sargeant

30+ years of experience

I started offering Russian-English translating and interpreting services, as well as teaching Russian and English, more than 30 years ago. 

English as a Foreign Language Teacher  - CELTA

I'm a qualified English language teacher with CELTA qualification (Cambridge English level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

English-Russian translator /interpreter (DPSI)

I'm also a qualified English-Russian translator /interpreter with the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI).

Historian, Candidate of Historical Studies (=PhD)

I studied History and English at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University where I trained as a history and English teacher, graduated with Highest Honours and obtained an academic degree of Candidate of Historical Studies (PhD) in History.

Graduate Building Surveyor (BSc)

I also graduated from the Robert Gordon University (RGU, Aberdeen, Scotland) with a B.Sc. degree in Building Surveying. I'm a specialist in Built Heritage History and Conservation.
